Manager's Message
From the foothills of the outer Himalayas – a charming hill town, I greet
you with prayerful wishes that you be showered with abundant blessings from
the almighty God.
St. Luke’s School, a minority unaided private school, run by Simla
Chandigarh Educational Society would be totally irrelevant if we do not
contribute towards a change in the society in which we live. Let us
perceive our school as an agent of social change.
Therefore, the role of St. Luke’s school is not only to pursue academic
excellence, but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong
learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing
global society.
Education is a process of training and developing knowledge, skill and
character of students by schooling. A school comes into existence for the
sake of students. The focus of educational service in our school is the
student. The school keeps in mind, primarily, the well-being of the
students. The school exists for students.
Our student centered school fosters active lifelong learning and promotes
healthy student development academically, socially, emotionally and
physically. While academic excellence is a major concern, the school is
very keen on preparing our students for life. We need to prepare them to
face the challenges of tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially
conscious.
The TRUE education is possible only when the school and family correspond
to each other. I invite one and all to collaborate in imparting true
education to bring about social change. It is the joint responsibility of
the Management along with the Staff and parents to integrate moral values
in our children.
I believe that education is a shared responsibility, therefore all of us
must work together to ensure success for all our students and success
depend on the collaboration of all involved: parents, students and staff.
Hence I would like to extend a personal invitation to all our students and
their parents to become active members of our Luke’s family.
Let us teach our children the three very important values-
Love for God, Fear of sin and Respect for the law of society.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the
world” (A.P.J Abdul Kalam)
Almighty God bless
